Renovated gite with x2 bedrooms and outside terrace. All new appliances. Our property is situated 15 minutes from La Mongie, Pic du Midi and Grand Tourmalet.We are close to Lac Payolle and Col d'aspin. The gite is surrounded by a woodland area with The L'adour river coming through our three hectares of land. We have dogs and cats that may welcome you
Good to know
The use of a six person hot tub that is heated to 38 degrees is available for relaxing moments within your stay (small fee to use, this facility is shared but you will be allocated private usage time of 2 hour slots )This gite has only a wood pellet burner for heating, pellets are available and a charge of consumption will be applied at the end of you stay. Towels are not included but for a small fee we offer towels for your comfort. Some essentials are included to start your stay, included bin liners, a toilet paper, beds are made for you to start your stay and ease you into your holidays. We have two barbecue's one is charcoal one is a gas plancha. You can reserve and pay for the gas plancha here or before online
Other Details to Note
The jacuzzi is heated to 38 degrees charges for usage of the jacuzzi are applied please enquire. In low season the jacuzzi is shared but you will have private usage. In any month if it is cold ( we are the mountains it can be cold in summer)the property is heated by a pellet stove which is also the central heating. This pellet bags are paid for on site.On average the stove uses one bag of 15kg pellets per day if very cold. Bags of pellets will be ready for you to use and cost €10 per bag. It is impossible for us to include this cost into the rental price as the weather here in the mountains is not stable like the towns. It is extremely varied and it can be hot at Christmas and freezing cold in summer.We will collect the payment for the bags that you have used at the end of you stay and is payable in cash or withthe online booking system for the spa and the plancha. In the winter the Grand Tourmalet is open for skiing, we are only 15 minutes away from the first ski lift. The station boasts a whopping 100km of pistes, with skiing for every ability and even includes a snowpark and many sledge slopes for the kids. Also a wide variety of restaurants and shops. In the summer, the Col du Tourmalet has so much to offer. Stunning walks, delicious restaurants it's also a mecca for any budding cyclist, we always see the Tour de France go through our village which is within easy walking access of our gites. You can also enjoy hiking, fishing, and cliff climbing. There are many prestigious sites nearby such as the Observatory of the Pic du Midi, the Neouvielle Massif, Gavarnie, Lourdes, and many others. If you are looking for a more relaxing vacation, Aquensis and Les Thermes' (Freshwater Spa's) is a 10-minute drive away in Bagneres De Bigorre, where there is a huge choice of treatments and pools. Bagneres de Bigorre has a wonderful market each Saturday with lots of delicious local food and produce. We also welcome dogs, you have a securely fenced area around the gite and there is plenty of walks to enjoy all within walking distance.
